Gay marriage: 0 for 31

Yes, same-sex "marriage" has been defeated in EVERY State where it was submitted to popular vote -- even left-coast California! But as Steve Sailer predicts, "Yet, you know we're going to end up with gay marriage anyway, no matter what the voters want."

Of course. It's the same reason our handlers are determined to impose Open Borders on us, to undermine the foundation of traditional society. What better way to pave the way for authoritarian government than to erode the natural order that makes self-government possible?

I think somebody has put that frog into a flashboil. I was deeply saddened by the increasingly bad news we've been getting recently (like the new hate crimes bill), but now it's like the states are finally starting to push back. Gay "marriage" defeated in Maine? That really surprised me.

Good job Obama administration. I hope to see some real secession soon. (late December?)

Garland,

As DC under Obama imposes a revolutionary agenda on us, you'll hear more angry voices from those fed up with a hostile government.

If we let the enemy define the rules of engagement we will lose every time. You can't win a rigged game.

Regulating marriage is not one of the government powers enumerated in the Constitution. IMO, not even State nor local governments should be sticking their noses into something as personal as marriage.

If you enter the debate assuming government has authority over marriage then you have resigned before you even began.

My wife and I consider marriage to be a sacred contract between ourselves and God, but we do not presume that we can force others to have the same concept of marriage as we do. It is enough that we try to live our lives as we think is best - we do not have the right to force others to live their lives as we think they should.

Too much "democracy" has been inculcated into the occupied and assimilated Confederate children. They have forgotten the spirit of Liberty and Responsibility embraced by their Fathers and Mothers.

Mike Foster,

Marriage isn't an arrangement dreamed up by some PhD in political science, or some coffee shop philosopher; it's an organic institution that arose out of our God-given character.

Thus, it's beyond re-definition by screaming activists or conniving politicians.

Rusty Mason,

Couldn't agree more. I'd say taking up the cause of reclaiming the powers delegated to DC is the way to take the initiative.

Cool pic, BTW.

Mike Foster,

Accepting gay marriage is detrimental to a moral and civilized society. There are no "positives" in society by supporting homosexuality.

If you're going to allow gay marriage, then you might as well allow marriage to animals as well. After all, who are you to tell somebody they can't be physically in love with a dog? Also, if we allow gay marriage, then how can we justify laws that stop brothers and sisters from marrying each other? What about polygomy? Why should the government stop a man from having 10 wives if he wants them? You see where this is going? Marriage is, and always has been from the dawn of man, a union between man and woman. It is in a moral, civilized society's best interest to preserve it as such.

There are moral absolutes that the State must recognize and uphold. Marriage is one of them.

Jared,

People aren't animals.

@Old Rebel: Yes I agree, that's why I said: "My wife and I consider marriage to be a sacred contract between ourselves and God" - and that's why I think government has no right to involve itself in marriages.

@Jared: LOL, Did I say anything about gay marriage? My point is, where in the Constitution does the government derive its power over social institutions such as marriage? Do we want to live under the rule of Law, or the rule of man?

Our enemies create fake issues and we jump right in and oblige them. This is the main thing I'm trying to get across. The question is not whether gays should have legal marriage, the question is why government has any control over marriage at all.

Hey Old Rebel, I'm listening to a song named "I'm a good ol rebel" by Un-Reconstructed. Ever heard it?
