Arizona Sheriff Vows to Enforce Immigration Law Whether ‘Feds’ Like it or Not

Need a hero? Here's one -- a man who stands up to a treacherous central government hell-bent on imposing demographic revolution:

Calling himself “the poster boy” for those who oppose the enforcement of federal immigration laws, Sheriff Joe Arpaio said he will continue to arrest individuals who are in the country illegally, even if Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) does not renew the 287(g) agreement that the Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff’s Office has operated under for the past two years.

“We’ve been doing it for two years and have been very successful, but I guess they don’t like to enforce illegal immigration laws,” Arpaio told CNSNews.com. “[It] doesn’t make any difference. I’m still going to continue my programs, regardless of what the feds like or don’t like.”

This is the immigration law program the Hispanic Caucus recently demanded Obama kill. It appears they'll get what they want, leaving only one unanswered question: Can he give it to them fast enough?

This guy's a hero - more power to him. Citizens should join (join the Minutmen that is).

Hero, huh? If Joe Arpaio is your idea of a hero, you don't understand this or any other issue. In my last novel when I needed a caricature of a monstrous publicity-whore bastard sheriff, I used Arpaio and the only thing I had to change was the name. There's more to being a hero than locking up a bunch of people and then running to hold a press conference to pat yourself on the back for it.

We certainly need more public officials like Mr Arpaio. There is a huge illegal immigration problem in the US even worse here in California. This affects our schools, medical care, law enforcement and environment. The drug cartels are growing marijuana on public lands making it unsafe for hiking or camping. Last month law enforcement eradicated large marijuana fields 30 miles from my home. Many of the wild fires in California were started from illegal immigrants. We need more Joe Arpaios. Secure our borders and enforce the laws.

Joel,

He's doing the job the Feds refuse to do -- heck, they're on the side of the invaders! Here's to men like Apaio.
