ABC Tries to Tie Health Care Town Hall Protesters to Hate Groups

Yet another case in point for Dr. Swain's indictment (see previous entry) of the Southern Poverty Law Center as the regime's weapon of choice to delegitimize dissent. And isn't it interesting how the corporate media makes its bias for Big Government painfully clear:
ABC News correspondent Brian Ross tried to connect the health care town hall protesters to hate groups on Friday’s GMA. Ross cited the Southern Poverty Law Center, whose left-wing political affiliation he omitted, and used two sound bites from the SPLC’s Mark Potok, who hyped that President Obama supposedly “triggered fears among...white people...that they are somehow losing their country.”
The ABC News correspondent led his report just after the beginning of the 7 am Eastern hour by underlining how it’s apparently been a “very ugly week as the rhetoric about the President and the threats against him have deeply worried the people who track this country’s hate groups.” After summarizing how police in Los Angeles arrested a man suffering from “mental problems” for making threats against the White House, and how the case is apparently part of a “disturbing pattern,” Ross played his first clip from Potok, who emphasized, “I don’t think that these are simply people who are mentally ill or...you know, kind of off their rockers. I think that...in a very real sense, they represent a genuine reaction- a genuine backlash against Obama.”
See? If you oppose socialism, you're just a racist. Now we in the League of the South have been targeted with that charge for some time. It's nice to have so many of our countrymen sharing the same boat with us.

It's getting real old being called a white, racist, paranoid, hater just because I don't like what they're doing to my country.
You know.....it's not paranoia if they're really out to get you.....or as it has been so eloquently said before....
Don't Piss Down My Back And Tell Me it's Raining!
I think there's a whole lot of us out here who are getting tired of being pissed on!
WP,
All you have to do is quit objecting to the wise, compassionate ones in DC, and no one will call you a bad name.
I mean -- what fate could be worse than being called a bad name?
Just let 'em keep pushing.
It's gotta get a whole lot worse before enough people band together to make it any better.
...but when that time comes....
Katie bar the door!!!!!
It is the same ole thing, they cannot bring up a logical arguement so they just resort to name calling. None of these people has ever said any sort of racial slur, made hateful comments or said any sort of thing that could be construed as being "racist" except by these hypersensitive idiots.
WP,
And frankly, I'd almost given up hope there was a stiff spine left in this country. The latest news, for the Tea Parties, the resistance to Obamacare, and the exciting talk about secession have given me hope.
LostinUtah,
Yeah, but "enlightened" people KNOW that opposing socialism is just code for insane hatred of black people.
Not sure how that works, but that's what they say.
It is the same thing that has been happening for some years now, anyone who does not toe the socialist party line is deemed a "racist" or has ties to some sort of a hate group. All these idiots have to do is to surf the internet and see which website might link to another. You surf the web long enough you will eventually find something that is objectional, bingo! you have found a "link" between mainstream conservatives and some sort of hate group.
