Pentagon Exam Calls Protests 'Low-Level Terrorism'

UPDATE BELOW

The Pentagon knows that only troublemakers question their rulers. So it only makes sense that potential newcomers learn to recognize that dissent = treason:

The written exam, given as part of Department of Defense employees’ routine training, includes a multiple-choice question that asks:

“Which of the following is an example of low-level terrorism?”
— Attacking the Pentagon
— IEDs
— Hate crimes against racial groups
— Protests
The correct answer, according to the exam, is "Protests."

Actually, this is nothing new. Remember the USA PATRIOT Act? You know, the law that prevented Islamomeanies from hiding behind the Bill of Rights? It spelled out that physical protest was just another form of domestic terrorism:

(d) the term "terrorism" means an activity that: (i) involves a violent act or an act dangerous to human life, property, or infrastructure; and (ii) appears to be intended: (A) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (B) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (C) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, kidnapping, or hostage-taking.

A street protest with angry serfs voters yelling, "Throw the bum out of office!" is clearly a form of intimidation. Don't they know we have to stand together when there's a war on? And when you're living in an empire, there's ALWAYS a war. As David Horowitz once declared, war protesters should be treated like saboteurs.

Only traitors question their government ...

Another terrorist spotted!

... and they know who you are.

UPDATE: The Pentagon has withdrawn this question from its exam because it was "poorly worded." So if a new hire doesn't know that dissent = treason, they'll just have to be trained.

Somehow it is not terrorism when a crowd of angry gays storm church buildings screaming for their "right" to be married but if someone dares speak out about taxes then it becomes a terrorist act?

LostinUtah,

I was once told that holding a protected group up to the same standards of the (shrinking) majority is the height of bigotry.

The days of the Alien and Sedition Laws are back.

I have no idea why someone has not sued over these laws. They are clearly unconstitutional and violate the 14th amendment giving people equal protection under the law. There is no reason that any sort of "protected class" should be set up.

Isn't this their usual script now? Gov "leaks" a report that extremism = terrorism; people become aware of it; report withdrawn; "right-wing" incident occurs (murder, whatever); people demand that right-wing extremists be rounded up.

Snaggle-Tooth Jones,

One always has to watch the government, as Jefferson warned. But what we have today is much, much worse than the relatively lame Alien and Sedition Acts.

These days, basic rights are denied those accused of supporting terror, and, like the charge of "racism," an accusation of terror is treated like a conviction.

Anonymous,

And that's how it's going down. Check a few lefty blogs, and you'll see plenty of calls for vigilante justice for those eeevil right-wingers.
