Obama to lay Memorial Day wreath at Confederate marker
Curses! Obama is too smart to have made a PR blunder like this:
President Barack Obama will send a wreath to the Confederate Memorial at Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day, rebuffing a petition from academics urging him to cease the decades-old tradition.
The petition, organized by Dallas-based historian Edward Sebesta, says signers want to end glorification of the Civil War and recognize the Confederacy's links to slavery.
Wait a minute -- did the reporter just call Sebesta an "historian"? Whoa ...
Pity -- Obama's refusal to lay a wreath at the Confederate Memorial would've made more people realize how alien and hostile his agenda is, and ignited a real opposition movement. Instead, Obama did what he's best at, posing as the fair-minded, impartial, and always rational leader, while orchestrating a radical plan to impose an all-powerful, socialistic system. The man understands the importance of the role of symbolism in political theatre, unlike his leftist core.
As I said -- what a pity.

Obama was smart enough to continue the tradition. The beauty of all of this is that Sebesta was SNUBBED! LUV IT!
Possum, why the heck are you even reading this blog if you hold these viewpoints? If you're not here to learn then you should go back to your liberal websites and do what possums do best, play dead.
But to take people's heritage away from them? First it was constant whining to get rid of the Confederate battle flag and state flags that have the representation of the Confederate battle flag on them. Then it was stripping names of university dorms and other buildings.. for example "Confederate Hall" to "Memorial Hall". When does all of this stop? It has gotten to the PC point where just about any ethnic or other special interest group is verboten in the joke making realm-- other than Southern Men (and to a lesser extent Southern women). Think about it for a minute, if a movie or tv show producer wants to make someone look like a hick, ignorant or intolerant what do they do? Give them a Southern accent. I am not longing for the days of exclusive White and male rule, however I am a conservative who is angry that my heritage and Christian beliefs are often shoved aside as to not "offend" anyone. Notice how many "Christian" colleges and universities have covered or removed crosses from chapels as to not offend Muslims? Since when do the feelings of a very small minority get to dictate to the majority? Let me give you an example: if a high school or university class wants to open a graduation ceremony with a non-sectarian prayer (the students-not the faculty) and one or two athiests complain the whole thing is scrapped. Is it too much to ask for someone to simply be silent for a couple of minutes out of respect for the majority?

That's the point. The globalists want to destroy all historical communities. Without something to belong to, individuals will be isolated, alienated, and easily exploited.

If the days of the "white, male, conservative, 'racist'" are over then why did Obama lay the wreath at the Confederate marker? He obviously isn't sympathetic to the Southern cause, so he apparently did it to avoid the outrage of public opinion. Btw, your original comment consisted of nothing but childish name-calling. How is someone supposed to respond to accusations of racism? Although I disagree with you, your comments are usually interesting. Are you having a bad day or something?
