Fed can't account for $9 Trillion

I once spent three hours trying to track down a missing $35.00 in my checking account. Just how do you lose $9 trillion? Ask these fellas.

It's probably easier to "lose" really big bucks if you don't have to account for anything you do, and have an Inspector General whose job appears to be generally not to inspect anything.

On the other hand, maybe somebody just threw the printing press into reverse and let it run that way for a couple of weeks. :-)

I think it got lost in their (and their friends')pockets.

$9 trillion unaccounted for? Sometimes I really wonder if they're trying to be incompetent.

This government is certainly incompetent enough that I would believe them losing a few hundred million, but $9 trillion? This money wasn't "lost."

You are probably right, it ended up in someone's back pocket.
