Equality at work

Who says the age of heroes is past? The new president of a politically connected globalist corporation bravely advocates diversity:

Boards composed entirely of white males can damage their businesses by indulging in narrow “groupthink”, says Helen Alexander, who is nominated on Monday as the first female president of the CBI employers’ group. ...

Ms Alexander said her message applied to all forms of diversity, including race and social background as well as gender.

“We have seen quite a lot of examples recently of what might be termed groupthink. It is clear that teams that have diversity within them don’t result in groupthink. People come at things in a different way and organisations have to take those into account,” she said.

Modern society routinely accepts the premise that race and sex influence how people think. As long as you use that premise to make a case for affirmative action, you can look forward to honors and promotions. But use it to question affirmative action, no matter the soundness of your research and documentation, and you and your entire argument will be exiled to Siberia along with Richard J. Herrnstein, Charles Murray, Hans Eysenck, and Arthur Jensen -- bad, bad men.

I have no problem with a business owner hiring people that he or she feels are qualified for the job. If a Black or Hispanic business owner wants to hire mostly his own race that is fine but if a White business owner hires mostly White men then there is usually some sort of lawsuit filed. With all of these laws it is difficult these days to hire or rent to whomever you want to without fear of a lawsuit that could put you in bankruptcy. When we first started renting the apartment in our basement we got some very strange phone calls that seemed like they were just trying to get us to not rent to them based on some arbitrary basis such as race or sexual orientation.

I'm waiting for the proper quota of rednecks and crackers to make it onto the boards of some of these international corporations. That would bring about some real diversity and get rid of groupthink. If the suits don't stay in line, there might be some country boy ass-whippins administered.
