With Swine Flu Cases Rising, Borders Are Tightened
Backward countries that still hold the old-fashioned belief that their primary function is to protect their citizens are resorting to -- brace yourselves -- restricting immigration to halt the spread of swine flu:
Countries around the world began tightening their border and immigration controls Tuesday as the number of confirmed cases of swine flu continued to rise. The number of deaths believed attributable to swine flu climbed to as many as 152 on Tuesday — all of them in Mexico...
But don't think for a moment the US would even consider such a move:
"We're already doing passive surveillance at the border," Napolitano said. "You would close the border if you thought you could contain the spread of disease, but the disease already is in a number of states within the United States."
Translation: Why close the barn doors now?

May be BLESSIN' IN DISGUISE! There already is a "swine flu" epidemic in the Washington District of Corruption with porking going on everywhere from stimulus packages to congressional washrooms and toilet stalls. Maybe this will kill off the rest of the porkies in in stimulating and AIDing and aBETing in DC?
The only death in America so far is from a child who came into the country from Mexico. Who knows how many people were exposed to the swine flu because of this child. Closing the borders won't stop the spread of swine flu, but it would likely reduce the risk. Of course, to Obama it is more important to keep future Democratic voters flowing across the border than it is to protect American citizens.
