Ray McBerry Makes Bid for Governor

How is it a candidate with no support among the entrenched DC-Atlanta power elite can come in second in the 11th District GOP Convention straw poll?

Something new must be in the air.

Ray McBerry's core message will touch those who stood up to DC's latest power grab at "Tea Party" protests. The central lesson the people have learned from the last meaningless national election is that it doesn't matter which wing of the ruling party is in power; a central government aggressive at home and abroad will continue to prey upon us.

But here's a candidate for local office -- the only kind of office that makes sense in a battle to restore local self-government -- who offers REAL change:

The 2010 governor's race is wide open. In the Republican contest, four candidates have already declared their bid and more are expected.

Republican Ray McBerry has already run for governor, but he is trying again this year for the nomination. McBerry's overriding issue is states rights.

"The theme for our campaign is not Atlanta, not Washington, but Georgia first," said McBerry. The theme helped win McBerry close to 12 percent of the Republican primary vote in 2006 when he challenged incumbent Sonny Perdue.

"There's only one candidate who will stand up to the federal government and say get the hell out of our business and leave my people alone," McBerry said.

Note to readers who wish they had a Ray McBerry in their State -- a victory for a candidate like this will send a powerful message to politicians all over the country. They need to see that the people will cheer on and support a candidate working to restore the principles of the original Tea Parties; namely, that the people may lawfully alter or abolish a governing class that continues to deprive them of their liberties and property.

You can join this fight here.

I implore everyone who reads this article on Ray McBerry to support his candidacy in any way possible. A McBerry victory in 2010 would shake the entire Establishment elite to its very core. Let's make it happen.
