SPLC attorney calls Latino immigration most significant civil rights issue

I'm sorry, I didn't hear a thing you said. The sound of my own greatness must have drowned you out.

Here's Morris Dees' latest pronouncement, complete with exegesis:

"Latinos are the sharecroppers of the 21st century," said Morris Dees, co-founder and chief trial attorney of the Southern Poverty Law Center, who will speak Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale. "The immigrant movement is probably the most significant civil rights issue."

In other words, continuing problems in the black community, including the black-white achievement gap in the schools, the black incarceration rate of 37% though blacks are only 13% of the population, and an illegitimacy rate of 70% are now off the SPLC's radar. Those problems are insignificant compared to Latino needs. Looks like brown is the new black.

But immigrants from Spanish-speaking countries are suffering the same discrimination, he said from his headquarters in Montgomery, Ala. Whether it's homes or health care or insurance, a lot of [discrimination]has nothing to do with race," Dees said. "It has to do with ... sharing the resources of the country.

That means the United States does not possess the basic right of all nations, which is sovereignty over its own lands. Dees is saying that anyone who wants to violate US territorial integrity and break immigration law is justified in doing so. Further, Dees believes we are obligated to subsidize the lifestyles of our colonizers.

"Obama was handed two wars and the collapse of the banking system, and people are already asking why hasn't he changed things," Dees said. "I think it's from systemic prejudice."

In other words, traditional America is evil, and must be repopulated with a better class of people.

For a moment I thought that picture of Dees was a "punch the monkey" ad. Sure was willing to give it a go.

What is that Dees doing in Alabama, anyway? What is wrong with the people of Alabama that they put up with that swindler?

Chelsea W,

You haven't seen the half of it!

Hoot Gibson,

You needn't worry about the overstuffed deities in the SPLC. Dees and his cronies live in gated communities so the riff-raff can't touch them.

AC,

A "punch-the-monkey" ad! What a great idea!

Let's see -- if I dust off these old Javascript books ...

Anything that will destroy white America and ensure one-party, left-wing rule is the new "most significant civil rights issue" in the eyes of the SPLC. You don't have a "civil right" to enter a country illegally and expect handouts paid for by tax-paying citizens; it's as simple as that.

Too bad not enough people realize that!
