Preparing for Civil Unrest in America

Global Research examines possible Federal responses to popular resistance to Obama's sweeping expansion of government powers. It might not be pretty:

How will the US government face an impending social catastrophe?

The solution is to curb social unrest. The chosen avenue, inherited from the outgoing Bush administration is the reinforcement of the Homeland Security apparatus and the militarization of civilian State institutions.

Directly related to the issue of curbing social unrest, cohesive system of detention camps is also envisaged, under the jurisdiction of the Department of Homeland Security and the Pentagon.

A bill entitled the National Emergency Centers Establishment Act (HR 645) was introduced in the US Congress in January. It calls for the establishment of six national emergency centers in major regions in the US to be located on existing military installations.

Of course, this is just wild speculation and paranoia. The Federal government would never imprison people just out of suspicion.

Then again ...

Don't blame me -- I voted for Kodos!

They wouldn't imprison based on suspician. They would develop a rock solid case of fabricated charges and evidence - you know that!

As I posted before, I witnessed an "experimen" in these proposed camps. When I did claims in New Orleans after Katrina, I was threatened with arrest( by a homeland security cop) if I went further in this particular neighborhood. What I saw was FEMA trailers set-up in a compound complete with concertina wire. These poor souls who lost their homes in the 9th ward were supposedly relocated to this neighborhood. I left never to return. I have often wondrered what the big deal was for this area?

Now I think it was an exercise/practice for what may be happening.

If you never saw this, it would chill you to the bone if you did!

Saddlegait,

And all accused would "confess" to their crimes. Waterboarding -- it's not just for banana republics any more.

You do know that German Americans were also interned during the Second World War, don't you? The American government wasn't just picking on non-whites.

German-American,

I've heard of that, but am not familiar with the details. I just used the most famous example to make my point.

And as far as DC picking on whites, there is that little matter of the Late Unpleasantness.

Mr. Tuggle and Compatriots: The time is nearing. Not to toot my own horn. But I've been warning folks of this tyranny for 6 months. At first people laughed at me and called me a kook. And to this very day some people will deny that the government is capable of such actions. I've warned people that their property is being marked by color codes (red, blue &yellow). Whether they will see the evidence is up to them. All I can say is. If they show up at my cave door. I will assume it's not for a meet and greet. Be advised...Monitor the school aged people. They will be the first to betray, whether they realise what their doing or not.

I don't know why everyone is so worried. It's not as if our government can arrest any citizen for any reason, label them an enemy combatant, and hold them indefinitely.
