Casus belli

Congress, the president, and the mainstream media assure us Israel is justified in invading defenseless Gaza and killing 900 Palestinians because of the ongoing rocket attacks on southern Israel. Since 2000, those home-made rockets have killed 12 Israelis.

Of course, it's also true that 12 Americans are killed every year by illegal immigrants. Do we get to invade Mexico?

If the Mexicans shot rockets at the U.S. every day, yes. Also consider that Israel's population is a fraction of the USA's.

I don't condone illegals coming from Mexico. They should be caught and sent back. But most come to find jobs that pay better than in Mexico. A handful come to engage in criminal enterprises. None come to engage in terrorism or for the sole purpose of killing Americans.

You preach the idea of an indepndent South. In the process, you constantly complain about the U.S. government and its imperialistic ways. But in dictating what another country should or should not do, the League is becoming a tad imperialist myself. I issue you a challenge. Please prove me wrong.

Hugh,

Becalm thyself.

The invasion quip was tongue in cheek.

The israeli's were given a specified land area upon their "acquision"
and have failed from day one to comply. Their demands and further seizures never end.

(never mind that their land claims were fraudulent from the start)

They routinely ignore UN mandates or strong arm the U.S. to veto
any constraints put upon themselves.

The Palestinians have been herded like cornered cattle into ever decreasing space,
with ever more restrictions and brutality visited upon them.

America's blind eye towards their (israeli's) evil deeds have been the sole reason for any
"terrorist" actions against us.

What would YOU do ?

This nation was founded by white men.
It was meant to be a white, Christian nation. This melting pot concept of all cultures will come to an end. And good Lord willing - real soon. No apologies. I welcome none other.

Big crocodile tears here about life being so tuff in ol Juarez but tell me ...
when did that old common sense adage lose vogue - you look out for yer own FIRST,
then, then you can worry about others. We have a plenty who suffer ourselves.

Imperialistic and oppressive governments should be pointed out, and resisted, by all who have at least some common decency left about 'em.

Or is that outa fashion also ?

Mr. Tuggle--The comment did not appear tongue in cheek, but I will take your word for it. You also refer to Gaza as defenseless. The Israeli military is undoubtedly far superior to any Gazan or Palestinean forces. But as my father told me, don't swing at someone first unless you are sure you can whip their you-know-what.

Well, key word "immigrants". These aren't members of some Mexican terrorist group. They aren't part of the Mexican government or military. They are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. If they were any of the above mentioned things, then hell yes we should invade Mexico, just as Israel invaded Gaza.

And when you're a tiny country with a tiny population in a hostile territory as Israel is, you have to do what you have to do to survive. They can't let "a few rockets" just slide. They can't be easy or lenient on threats.

Any good American (and any good Southerner), Michael, should believe in justice.

As Hugh's father put it, "don't swing at someone first unless you are sure you can whip their you-know-what", and I really respect that phrase.

Running thru the trail dust here ... trying to catch up.

Guess the biggest chink in their armour would be for their true identity to be known. Deception has served them well.

God forsook old Jerusalem and its inhabitants years ago.
