The BBQ Song
A review of barbecue in the Southern United States. I will vouch for this video's total objectivity and fairness. And it has nothing to do with me being an unapologetic Lexington barbecue bigot. Trust me.
Mighty fine and I'm a' tellin' ya' Michael when you say Lexington son, you've cvered BOTH bases.. Lexington , NC or eastern style as they say with a vinegar and pepper sauce.. I do declare that I love it! Lexington, SC and the finest mustard based sauce known to man in SHEALY's BBQ .,who by the way sell it in local stores along with a very siimilar vinegar and pepper eastern NC sauce akin to Scott's BBQ of Greenville, NC. YUM YUM! as Granpa Jones would say!
"Mam, I don't know how yall do it , but this here is the best BBQ I ever 'et!" The Detective from the movie"Fried Green Tomatoes"
pawmetto, I just moved down to Lexington last week. I've had Maurice's a couple of times and Hudson's once. I like all kinds of Q. But for me nothing can touch Lexington style, particularly when it has more tomato than vinegar. I like some sweet to balance the tang of the vinegar.

pawmetto,
Actually, I like Maurice's, too, but don't tell anybody.
"Nothing could be finer than to eat in (Eastern) Carolina in the morning....."
vinegar based, that is.......!
I'm told Shealy's beats out Maurice's, though I've never had it. Maurice's is some of the best I've had.
