Sewage plant to be named after George Bush?

This makes no sense at all:

A citizens group in San Francisco wants to pay an ironic tribute to President George W Bush when he leaves office - by naming a sewage plant after him.

The group, calling itself the Presidential Memorial Committee of San Francisco, wants the issue voted on at this November's election.

"It's important to remember our leaders in the right historical context," said petition organiser Brian McConnell.

But the sewage treatment plant does what it was built to do. Bush, on the other hand, promised a "more humble foreign policy" if elected but instead tried to dazzle us with obscenely expensive foreign invasions and nation-building on a scale never before seen.

Vote "no" San Francisco.

This is an insult to sewage plants and systems everywhere and all the honest people who work in them. In the name of Ed Norton and all the good men who came after him I ask San Francisco not to do this.
