Bush: "It's been a difficult time for American families"

Nothing sneaks past this president. No siree. As the CNN article explains, it's certainly been difficult lately:

Home prices are down about 15% nationwide over the last year, according to a recent numbers from the Case/Shiller home price index. The economy has lost jobs for the last six months in a row. And Wall Street has moved into a bear market, with stocks trading 20% below recent highs.

And you can add your own examples, from the skyrocketing cost of keeping your car fueled and your home heated, to the credit crunch.

The mystery, though is -- how did these things happen?

Could it possibly be from an unnecessary war that was sold to us as costing only (??!!??) $50 billion, when current estimates run to a nightmarish $3 trillion? Financed, of course, purely through more foreign borrowing, mostly from Communist China.

Could the price of oil be affected by the explosive instability in the Middle East sparked by Bush's continual threats to start another war, this time against Iran -- which sits on a third of the world's oil reserves?

And is it possible the home mortgage crisis was worsened, if not caused, by administration support for affirmative action in lending? Steve Sailer's analysis is enlightening and deeply troubling:

Uncovering the roots of the disastrous home mortgage bubble that popped last year will keep economic historians busy for decades. Yet, one factor has so far been largely overlooked: the bipartisan social engineering crusade to drive up the rate of homeownership by handing out more mortgages to minorities.

More than a negligible amount of the blame for the mortgage meltdown can be traced back to multiculturalism: government-mandated affirmative-action lending, demographic change, illegal immigration, and the mind-numbing effects of political correctness. ...

About half of all mortgages for blacks and Hispanics are subprime, versus roughly one-sixth for whites. Not surprisingly, the biggest home price collapses have occurred in heavily Hispanic cities such as Las Vegas, Miami, Phoenix, and Los Angeles.

Yes, W is right -- it has been difficult lately. And isn't it just magnanimous of him to notice?

The entire parcel of rogues that make up the Bush regime should be considered traitors and treated as such by the people.

The answer to America’s oil crisis is Alaska. I was shocked yesterday to discover that one billion cubic feet of natural gas is being pumped back into the ground at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska every day!

I discovered this in a You Tube video by a man named Lindsey Williams, a southern pastor who lived and worked at Prudhoe Bay for three years.

Here’s the link, but it’s in eight parts:

I put all eight of them on my blog for easy access:

Yes, Mr. Hill, they are all ruthless criminals, guilty of high treason.

What is the difference in tolerance and blindness? When we accept the behaviors of our administration that have always been dubbed immoral, are we not telling them that it's o.k. for them to go a step further with each acceptance. We have set the example that they are immune from accountability. They no longer intend to hold themselves accountable either.

michael hill,

True, and thank the Lord, W's ratings finally reflect that growing realization.

The next step is for folks to see that it's not just W, but the whole DC scam that's the real problem. W's just hired help.

son3,

Thanks for passing on the video.

And you're right, the scoundrels are in control.

saddlegait,

True enough, but nothing's going to change until WE start holding them accountable for their treason.

How do we do that without finding ourselves in Guantanomo (sp)?

Have we reduced ourselves to a state of fear that prohibits us from having any power at all?

saddlegait,

Well, I think you've hit it on the head when you say we have to get past our fear.

To quote Stonewall Jackson:

"My religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to always be ready, no matter when it may overtake me."

Your answer as to HOW lies in the Constitution and specifically Article V
As sovreign citizens in charge of government , we have the right to petition for a Constitutional Convention without Congressional approval. The people can and should DEMAND this.
Only hitch might be illegal courts and their rule of law
However we gotta try!

So, who'se writing the petition. Pick someone who can at least get their handle title to work right. But yes, why can we not at least get to that point?

I know you call this blog "rebellion" but isn't it more along the lines of "survival" or "self-preservation". In this fight everyone loses if anyone loses.

saddlegait,

Well, I appreciate the kind words. I think you're right -- this is about our very survival as a people, and specifically, as a free, Christian people -- everything our globalist handlers despise.

pinky,

I recall an observation from Mr. Mark Twain:

"Hain't we got all the fools in town on our side? And ain't that a big enough majority in any town?"
