Quote of the day
...I know not what treason is, if sapping and betraying the liberties of a people be not treason... Cato
Current events and commentary from a Southern perspective. The most powerful political forces of our time -- localism, secession, and confederalism -- vindicate the Southern Cause.

Pardon the trite expression, Mike, but Cato "nailed it".
doug b,
Amazing how little human nature has changed over a few thousand years, isn't it?
This is how it begins! It starts by arresting Abdullah Ah-boo-boo in Illinois for being an enemy combatant, and very few complain.
Next, they'll capture rapists and child-molesters without trial or habeas corpus (you're not in favor of rape or child abuse, are you?)
Then, five years from now, President McCain will have national security raid a League of the South convention; stating that the participants "were enemy combatants, and glorified such traitors as Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis".
So it goes...
