Barack Obama wants to be president of these 57 United States
Is Barack Hussein Obama smarter than a 5th grader? Or is the campaign stretching out a little toooooo long? What else could explain this:
"It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go."
Maybe he was including all the provinces in Iraq after it breaks up and they become part of the DC superstate.
Wait -- what's this coming in?
(UPDATE: At a later stop Obama was talking with reporters and expressed concern he'd also mis-stated the number of potential cyclone victims in Burma. He said, "I hope I said 100,000 people the first time instead of 100 million. I understand I said there were 57 states today. It's a sign that my numeracy is getting a little, uh." At that point, an aide cut him off and ushered journalists out. Before he could mis-speak again?)
Uh-oh.

Obama will likely not be president. He is popular only among blacks and white, liberal intellectuals who have little actual contact with blacks. Not enough to win.
I believe John McCain will be the next president of the Empire. I actually cringed as I typed that.

57 states? Obama want's Bush's job so bad he's starting to sound like him.
anonymous,
It looks like the Democrats have found their McGovern, their Dukakis, their Mondale. How is it possible for any party to throw away so many opportunities? It's downright scary.
rex osborne,
I guess that's part of the job description. Anyone smart enough not to be easily controlled by the powers that be need not apply.
