Current events and commentary from a Southern perspective. The most powerful political forces of our time -- localism, secession, and confederalism -- vindicate the Southern Cause.
This is indeed a great quote and says so much. I am sick and tired of hearing someone talk about the Invasion in Iraq and then segue right to 9/11. I always point this out to those who do it to me personally and some even seem surprised! I was sitting in the waiting room several months ago while a woman talked about the "war" and said something to the effect of, "(paraphrase) Those Iraqis brought it on themselves when they flew those planes into the WTC." Would you believe that my blood pressure was high when the nurse checked it minutes later? I don't think we should be too hard on Bush, though. I think he really believes it now; kinda' like that lie you keep on telling until you cannot discern the difference between what did happen and what you want people to think happened?

Hard to say about what really goes on in Bush's brain. My best guess is that he knows he's lying, but is perturber that people question him.
