Clinton on an Iran Attack: 'Obliterate Them'
Who says Hillary is just another DC insider who's going to prop up the military/industrial regime? Hillary:
Clinton further displayed tough talk in an interview airing on "Good Morning America" Tuesday. ABC News' Chris Cuomo asked Clinton what she would do if Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons.
"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran," Clinton said. "In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."
It's a good thing the United States won the Cold War. Otherwise, the Soviet Union would've imposed totalitarianism on us, and every election would offer nothing but fake choices between pro-government candidates.
By the way, this makes the second presidential candidate to endorse the Krauthammer Doctrine. And we can count on McCain to nuke Iran no matter what they do.

Seriously, and I cannot emphasize this enough: A war with Iran will be a catastrophe from which the United States of America, as we now know it, will never recover. Not financially. Not politically. Not militarily. Not economically. Not ever. (more)
The best thing I can say for it is that it would make our job easier -- and frankly, if that's what it takes, I'd rather it be harder.

A couple of years ago, I sat in on a discussion in which three Iranian men were discussing the subject of Iran's hegemony in the Middle East.

I can't say they were completely honest with me in the points they were making; but, according to them, even thought Iran might not want a confrontation with the U.S.A.; they surely believed that Iran would be the undisputed victor. Apparently Iran has one of the largest military institutions in the world. In any war with America, nuclear weaponry would readily be available to them.

They claim that if the U.S.A. or Israel were to use nuclear weapons, that would be suicide for both. And, China would see it as the moral opportunity to do away with the U.S.A. for ever.

I see them as Internationalists and their only concerns are about their personal wealth, power, and comfort.

If all hell breaks loose and there is all out nuclear warfare, the Super Class will be protected. Bush will retreat to his new digs in South America. The NeoCons version of the New World Order will be off and running. Any corpses left over from the nuclear holocaust will decompose and fertilize new plant growth. The few million people still living will serve as slaves to the Super Class that survives.

I've long wondered that Bush & Co. are simply joy-riding America for kicks and profits. That would explain why they've done things that would obviously boost the price of oil.
Why not make a few billion and let the world go to hell? When you catch yourself puzzling over what's lurking behind Cheney's evil leer, it's easy to believe they'd do it.
