Declaration of Southern Cultural Independence

What Is States' Rights Part 3
Today it would be laughable to state that the federal government does not create “new” authority from not only legislation but also judicial edict and historically has also used armed aggression. One does not have to look very far to find examples of federal government laws that are obviously beyond the scope that any of the Founding Fathers or Framers of the Constitution of 1787 could have conceived.

What Is States' Rights Part 2
States’ Rights (or more properly State’s Powers) certainly has merit. But, if today’s so-called States’ Rights efforts are not directed at resolving the causes of the failure to achieve a truly federated form of government and to guarantee the citizen’s God-given rights, then it’s nothing more than self-serving partisan politics

Washington - An Organized Criminal Enterprise
In the wake of the League’s 17th annual national conference, we believe it is time to restate the obvious for those who still don’t “get it” yet: the US government in DC is an organized criminal enterprise. Despite being founded on the “principle” of limited government, it has its tentacles in virtually every aspect of our lives all over our beloved Southland.

What is States’ Rights?
A very wise man, one for whom I have great respect, recently issued what seemed to be a challenge, “Was all y'all's talk about states' rights just whiskey talk, or do y'all really believe it?” Then he followed with, “If you do really believe it, then get liquored up and write an article!”

9/26-League of the South Statement
As the disintegrating entity known as The United States of America goes into the proverbial "dustbin of history" because of fiscal irresponsibility, greed, sloth, avarice, and apathy, we in The League of the South remind you all that over a decade ago we told you what was going to happen. In fact, in our Declaration of Southern Cultural Independence, we spoke on behalf of our people (most of whom were too busy to listen at that time) and warned them of what was ahead.

LS Statement - The Beck/Palin Movement
For sixteen years The League of The South has stated there is virtually no meaningful difference between mainstream conservatives and liberals or between Republicans and Democrats.

In Memoriam - Jack Kershaw
LS Board of Directors member, Jack Kershaw age 97 died Wednesday Sept.7, 2010 Artist, sculptor, home builder, farmer, lawyer, lecturer, southern historian, Vanderbilt Graduate in the early1930’s. 8/04-League of the South Statement
From its inception in 1994, The League believed it impossible to reform the American political system. If our anti-Federalist and Confederate ancestors were right (and we believe they were), then this is the only logical position we could have taken.

7/28-League of the South Statement
Re: Feds strike down central provisions of Arizona immigration law

Imagine that! A federal judge ruling in favor of the federal government in a case against a State! But that’s what you can expect when there is no impartial arbiter to determine matters of constitutionality.

7/23-League of the South Statement
Ten years ago, The League of the South issued the following Declaration of Southern Cultural Independence. Standing on the steps of the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery, the leadership of the League understood that the day must come in which the South would be politically free so she could preserve her sublime cultural inheritance and all that stems from it. That day has arrived.

7/7-League of the South Statement

Southern Independence Is Our
Only Sane Option

As the regime continues to reveal its true nature, more and more people come to see it for what it really is--a monster that will devour our very life substance if we don't separate ourselves from it at once.

Feds Out of Dixie!
The League of the South, is firmly convinced that many of Dixie's economic, social, and political difficulties would be greatly diminished by simply removing the Federal Government as a participant in solving them. Indeed, if history has demonstrated anything it is that the Federal Government's over reaching and unconstitutional control over our homeland has never solved anything.

Serfdom,Revolution,Or Southern Independence
As the boot of centralized fascist-socialist tyranny pushes harder on our necks, we have three choices: 1) serfdom; 2) revolution; or 3) Southern independence. I would hope those reading this would have already omitted option number one from consideration.
